Many technological innovations of the 20th century have promised
breakthroughs in the methods and effectiveness of teaching. Some of the most
promising innovations included filmstrips and motion pictures, teaching
machines (mechanical devices that present systematic instruction to students),
and programmed instruction (instruction delivered in a graded sequence of
steps, usually by means of a computer or other device).
Thus in the recent years, Information and
communication technologies in education was introduced. Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) refers to teaching and learning the subject
matter that enables understanding the functions and effective use of
information and communication technologies. As of 2004, a review and
contextualization of the literature on teaching ICT as a subject implied that
there was limited, systematically-derived, quality information.

ReplyDeleteIntegration of ICT during discussion is of great help for teachers. It makes their work easy and they could explain the lessons clearly and effectively. There will also be a high percentage of retention of learning by the students because they could see the actual pictures and videos or hear the sounds of what was discussed rather than using only mere imagination and theories.

ReplyDeleteit is quite obvious that being a graduating student, you have many things to do. That's why I am thankful for the technology, because I can now access to the internet right away and makes my work easier especially the RRS and RRL of my thesis, which is so complicated. I have my own computer in which i could use in researching and a printer in which i could directly produce a hard copy. In short, I can minimize my use of money, and also, the effort and time.

ReplyDeleteAs an engineering student, it has a great help to me. Because there is this subject which is Autocad that is introduced to us. I can say that this software subject make our work easier, especially the drawings since we are only to face the computer and just hold the mouse. while in the traditional way, we used to draw personally and it is so hard because there are tendency that some of the drawings are wrong, where in fact in the software, it could be edited. Also, what is good also about this Autocad is it has the feature which is 3D and it is nice because it is updated. But, despite of the good things, technology had gave to us, still we missed making drawings in the actual.
